So, some of the things that needed to be done before Kelsey and Jacob could leave on their missions were to have physicals and have all of their dental work taken care of. Both of them needed to have their wisdom teeth removed, so we just went ahead and had them done on the same day. So, here you will see the before and after shots of the dental adventure they went on together. (Kelsey is not thrilled about the after shots, so they are just basically for my own amusement, I guess :)
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." - Matthew 28:19-20
This is our blog about the adventures and experiences of two Snyder kids as they serve missions, one in Mexico and one in Japan, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These are the weekly emails and pictures they send home.

Called to Serve
On June 6, Kelsey received her mission call in the mail. Of course she teared up as she read her assignment to the Mexico Pachuca Mission! She leaves in October.
Jake received his call 2 weeks later to the Japan Tokyo Mission. It came as a huge surprise, though, that he was to report to the Missionary Training Center just 41 days later!

Welcome!
Welcome to our new blog! This is such an exciting time for our family, as two of our six children embark on amazing adventures in their lives. Our daughter, Kelsey, and our son, Jacob, have both been called to serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jacob will be serving in the Japan Tokyo mission for two years, and Kelsey will be serving in the Mexico Pachuca mission for 18 months. They are both so excited to serve in these areas!
This blog will be devoted to updating us all on their lives while they are serving the Lord and the people on their missions. We will be updating the blog as we receive their weekly emails. We are looking forward to seeing the wonderful work Jacob and Kelsey do and to watching their testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ grow!
